ACND’s Talented
Twosome Travel to Tallahassee
An Archbishop Curley Notre Dame Junior follows in his father’s footsteps as one of two ACND students selected to participate in the prestigious American Legion Boys State of Florida.
Gary Goodenow Jr., whose father Gary Sr., attended Missouri Boys State, and fellow classmate, Daniel Seigel, will join a select group in this year’s Florida version.
Boys chosen to participate must be juniors in high school, possess a grade point average of 3.2 or above and display outstanding leadership qualities.
On May 6th at the ACND Academic Awards Assembly, Gary Goodenow was named this year’s recipient of the Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award in Humanities and Social Studies.
As a member of the ACND Speech and Debate team, Daniel Seigel has qualified to compete for the Student Congress national title in both the Catholic Forensic League and the National Forensic League.
The ACND Juniors will travel to Tallahassee to learn the inner-workings of state government for two weeks in June.
