ACND Senior Recognized for His Excellence within the Community

 

North Miami, FL  - Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School student, Kevin

Arcelay received the City of North Miami Bill Carr Youth Recognition Program

award from North Miami Mayor Kevin Burns and the North Miami City Council. 

The special ceremony was held at the North Miami City Hall on Tuesday, October

23rd.   

 

A senior at ACND, Kevin has maintained first honors in every marking period

earning him a grade point average of 4.27.  He is a varsity level athlete in three

sports: cross-country, wrestling and baseball and has obtained athletic awards

for every year in high school: Rookie of the Year as a Freshman, Coach’s Award

as a Sophomore and the Sportsmanship Award as a Junior.

 

During the summer, Kevin worked at a law office in North Miami and has devoted

service hours to a day care center in Miami Beach as well as a number of hours to

ACND community service projects. 

 

The Bill Carr Youth Recognition Program is an initiative of the North Miami Youth

 Opportunity Board.  The award recognizes the outstanding deeds and efforts of

North Miami student residents and encourages them to continue to strive for excellence.
