Tim Wilcox, Misha Orosz and Nelson Fernandez, members of the Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School Golf Team,

were honored with the ACND Sportsmanship, Most Valuable Player and Coach’s Award, respectively,

at the ACND Athletic Banquet.

ACND Golf Players Recognized

December 13, 2007

Miami, FL - Golf team members Tim Wilcox, Misha Orosz and Nelson Fernandez were recently honored

 for their accomplishments at the Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School Athletic Banquet on

December 6, 2007. 

After finishing in the top ten at the 2006 Dade County Youth Fair competition, Tim Wilcox led the ACND

team as Captain.  He was recognized at the banquet with the ACND Sportsmanship Award and was the

recipient of a four year letter. Tim is also a member of the National Honor Society and is looking forward to

starting baseball in the spring.

Junior Misha Orosz was named the recipient of the ACND Golf Most Valuable Player Award.  Misha placed 2^nd

overall in the 2007 Dade County Youth Fair competition and boasts numerous impressive scores throughout the

year.  Misha is currently a member of the ACND soccer team.

Only a sophomore, Nelson Fernandez tied for third place in district competition this year.  Nelson was honored

with the Coach’s Award at the ceremony.  He is currently a member of the junior varsity basketball team.  

Throughout the year, Nelson and Misha led the team with the best scores and are looking forward to returning

next year.
