Making our Dream Piece a Reality

Dear Fellow Alum & Friend:

My name is Matthew Allen, ACND `83, and I have accepted the role as Chairperson for this groundbreaking endeavor for our ACND.

The reason for my acceptance and particularly my interest in this project can be attributed to my beliefs.  I believe in ACND.  I believe as an alum, I have a vested interest in the betterment of this institution.  And lastly, I believe that all of us can make this dream piece a reality in creating a better environment for our future, namely our children.

I want my children to have the ACND experience, the tradition of excellence, and the unparalleled camaraderie shared by nearly 8,000 graduates that spans over 5 decades.

I share these beliefs with the alums (listed on the back of this brochure) who have committed themselves to making this dream a reality. It is our belief that you too will be committed to this first major building project in over 30 years.

Our “Dream Team” challenges you, your class and your decade, to make the difference.  Your pledge can be made payable over two years.

Rise to the challenge. . .we have.  All levels of participation are welcome.  Join us.

Together, we are ACND!

Matthew Allen, ACND `83

The Reality for ACND

ACND is not a place that was.  It is a place that is – vibrant with that special energy we knew so well and which is proving to be our legacy.

·       Two story multi-use facility with elevator access to the main building (ADA compliant and potential nominee/winner for the “Blue Ribbon School award)

·       Open piazza and covered balcony for easy flow to and from the main school building

·       Open floor plan enabling various activities: band & music performance area; meeting & seminar space; move wrestling out of cafeteria and into their own facility; student body masses; special event location for alumni & constituents

·       New locker facilities for both men & women

·       A centerpiece of ACND’s rich tradition of excellence with hallways and common areas adorned with memorabilia from 1954 through present – special designation for each decade and donor appreciation

It’s been 30 years since the last significant building project on campus and this Dream Piece will serve as a true testament to ACND’s longevity and commitment to our past, present and future.
