Band

 During the era of the Knights, music was performed by Minstrels, who traveled from village to village performing for the people. However, there was a technically more serious, well-educated, and highly sophisticated group of musicians that performed traveling from Castle to Castle, especially for the Clergy and Nobility (including Knights and their Ladies) called "Troubadours" ... Hence, our name! ... Therefore: Hear Ye ... Hear Ye ... Calling all students that wish to play a Band Instrument, and be part of an exciting program at Curley Notre Dame High. This year we are holding Band every day during fourth (4th) period as a graded school Elective, plus after-school private and sectional instruction each week, as needed. Therefore...the "Instrumental Ensemble" (a small Band) has become a serious addition to the schools curriculum, and now is a part of the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA), with events including Solo & Ensemble Recitals, Concerts, Adjudications ... and travel. |
