2008 Hunger Fest

March 7 through Saturday March 8, students at Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School, 4949 NE 2nd Ave. will be engaged in the annual fast to raise consciousness about world hunger and to raise funds for the poor of Miami, Haiti and Peru. On the days of the fast they will be conducting a car wash and yard sale and making over a thousand sandwich lunches for the hungry of Miami who depend on Camillus House for help. Students are seeking sponsors for the 27 hour fast. Please support their efforts. As well as raising awareness on the ACND campus, students will be requesting assistance in collecting food items from area elementary schools and are planning to visit these schools to educate them about world hunger.
